Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Dear Pioneer Academy Community,
Due to the health and safety of everyone in the Pioneer Academy community, effective Friday, March 13, 2020, all Pioneer Academy afterschool and Saturday programs are suspended until further notice. Also, all Parent Engagement, on Tuesdays, will now take place through Class Dojo and phone conference. There will be no in person conferences.
In addition, all field trips, staff conferences, family workshops, and evening and weekend activities are suspended until further notice. This decision is based on advice and guidance from the NYC Department of Education and the New York Health Department.
In the event that Pioneer Academy is closed, our administration and teachers have worked diligently to put a contingency plan in place to provide instruction while our scholars are home. The assigned work for each grade will be posted at on our school’s website: www.pioneeracademy307.org. Scholars will also be given hard copies of their learning materials.
Please join your child’s teachers’ ClassDojo account to ensure that you are receiving the most up to date information.
I know that this is unchartered territory; and that it is upsetting to see our programs and field trips cancelled. However as stated earlier, the health and safety of our entire school community remains our top priority.
