Dr. Jackson's Principal's Message for the week of April 27th.

Principal Message
April 27, 2020

Dear Pioneer Academy Community,

I hope this message finds you, your friends and your family safe and healthy. As we continue to respond in these difficult times, let’s remember the words of Dr. Damary M. Bonilla-Rodriguez, "Stay strong as you live your life story and remember your blessings, no matter what circumstances you face."

On April 11, 2020, Mayor Bill DeBlasio’s announced that all traditional public schools are closed citywide until September, 2020. While this is not unexpected, we have been preparing for that extension by updating our distance learning plan. As such, curriculum will continue to be delivered through our Pioneer Academy Distance Learning Plan.

In order to more effectively support you and your child remotely, please access the survey links below to request a device, update your contact information and give us feedback so that we can continue to revise and refine our support.

Please be reminded that we will continue to share COVID-19 related available community resources through ClassDojo and our school’s website at https://www.pioneeracademy307.org/.

It is our absolute pleasure to be in service to you and your children. Despite the effects of COVID-19, Pioneer Academy remains responsive, committed and dedicated to your child’s social and emotional well-being and academic success. May we continue as a community to respond to COVID-19 with generosity, hope and determination.

Please stay healthy and safe!

Sincerely,

Dr. Cecilia Jackson, Principal
